Call for Papers for the Conference of the International Adam Smith Society

hosted by Political Economy Workshop (Graduate School of Economics, University of Tokyo). cosponsored by the Japanese Society for the History of Economic Thought, and Adam Smith Society (Japan)

The next conference will be held at The University of Tokyo, Hongo Campus, Tokyo in March 2020.

A special exhibition of books belonging to Adam Smith will be held during or immediately after the conference. The collection was donated to the University by Prof. Inazo Nitobe in 1920, and has been collected by the Resources and Historical Collections Office of the University of Tokyo. The collection holds 315 Smith’s books.

Deadline for the call for papers: 10 August, 13:00, 2019
Please submit your proposal with an abstract of about 600 words in English from the following link.

The result of your submission will be notified from the Conference Organizing Committee by September 30st, 2019.
Deadline for the outline of your presentation (minimum 1000 words in English): November 30th, 2019
