JSHET 2020, 84th Annual Conference at Hokkaido University

The Japanese Society for the History of Economic Thought (JSHET) will hold its 84th Annual Conference at Hokkaido University, Sapporo on May 30 and 31, 2020. The JSHET Annual Conference is one of the largest conferences on the history of economic thought in the world.

Dates: May 30 (Sat.) and 31 (Sun.) 2020

Place: Hokkaido University (Kita-8, Nishi-5, Kita-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan), Humanities and Social Sciences Classroom Building

  • Access from New Chitose Airport: https://www.global.hokudai.ac.jp/about/access-maps/sapporo-campus-map/
  • We recommend catching the 40 minutes JR Rapid Airport Line from the airport to Sapporo Station which runs every 15 minutes. Fare: Adult 1,150 yen.
  • After arriving at Sapporo station, it is a short walk to the main gate of the campus. Upon disembarking the train, aim for the west ticket gates and then take the north exit out of the station.

We need an outline of your presentation (up to 1,500 words). The deadline is March 10, 2020.
This outline will be distributed to our members in a printing form and will be available on the web.

  • Conference Fee + Party Fee for regular employees: 12,000yen

Call for Papers for the JSHET Annual Conference, 2020

The 84th Annual Conference of the Japanese Society for the History of Economic Thought (JSHET) will be held at Hokkaido University, Sapporo on May 30th and 31st, 2020. Proposals for papers or sessions on all aspects of the history of economic thought are welcome. An abstract of about 400 words for a paper and 800 words for a session should be submitted on the online application form no later than November 9th, 2019.
